HOW THEY MET:
We met on our first date at Southern Tier Brewing Company in downtown Cleveland. I had recently graduated college and moved to downtown Cleveland to work at KeyBank, which is also where Zach coincidentally worked! He lived in an apartment building downtown near mine, so it was only a matter of time before we crossed paths. Our personalities instantly clicked, and we shared similar passions, so I knew this would be the first of many dates. About eight months into dating, Zach moved to Nashville for a new job, where we did long distance for about a year with many visits in between. It was not long before Zach decided to move back to Cleveland, and we moved in together and got a puppy.
PROPOSAL STORY:
As someone who is very hard to surprise, Zach really wanted to throw me off for the proposal. We had discussed doing a date night at the Cleveland Museum of Art earlier in the year, so Zach planned for us to go there on a Friday night. My friend Lexi had also asked us to go to a comedy show that night, but little did I know these were fake plans to throw me off. We started the night by walking out to Wade Lagoon before it got dark. Zach was very quiet and walking super slow, then he got down on one knee and proposed!! I was in shock. My friend Lexi popped out of the bushes and started taking photos. We spent the rest of the night at a nice dinner, just us two, and then we met our families out for drinks and headed back to our decorated house! It was the perfect evening!
