According to the Chinese Zodiac, 2013 is The Year of the Snake beginning on February 10th.  The snake is considered to be a symbol of luck and believed by many to bring a year of prosperity and peace.  Similar to the houses of the Western Zodiac in astrology, the animals of the Chinese Zodiac represent personality traits of the people born under a particular animal and it is believed that the animals of that year will impact events that occur in the world.
