HOW THEY MET:
We met in college, where we were in the same a cappella group. We quickly became best friends but did not start dating until over half a decade later when Taylor began commuting to New York regularly for work. Things went well, she transferred to her company’s New York office later that year and we moved in together shortly thereafter.
PROPOSAL STORY:
I booked a reservation at the restaurant where we had our first real date, and asked Taylor if she wanted to watch the sunset from the balcony in our apartment beforehand. Unbeknownst to her I had snuck a good friend of ours who is an excellent photographer into our apartment, and when the sun began to set I signaled him to move into position and got down on one knee.
THE RING:
It is an oval diamond in a yellow gold basket setting with a yellow gold pave band.
