HOW THEY MET:
Chris and I met at a jazz bar in NYC on his birthday. When he came up to introduce himself, we realized that we grew up just 2 miles apart in Cleveland! Sure enough, I got a call 3 days later from my mom, who had heard through a mutual friend at Heinen’s that I was dating the “Dubyak boy.”
PROPOSAL STORY:
We had been invited to see Drunk Shakespeare with some friends, and Chris asked me to take a walk in Riverside Park with our dog, Palmer, before the show. While on the walk, Chris proposed on the pier in front of a perfect sunset. When we got back, I found out our friends were in on the plan and there was no show – we instead joined our closest friends and families (who Chris had gotten to NY) to celebrate our engagement!
THE RING:
My ring is a round diamond with pear side stones. I’m completely obsessed with it and love the significance behind three-stone rings! Thank you so much to Jesse for teaching Chris everything he knows!
