HOW THEY MET:
Our grandparents have been close friends and neighbors in a development in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida for almost 26 years. We were both living in New York City, and, in true grandmother fashion, my grandmother shared my phone number with Adam’s grandfather. Adam texted me on 10/15/18, and we went on our first date at the Belfry in NYC nine days later. After that, the rest is history!
I grew up in Massachusetts, and Adam grew up in Cleveland. Every August, Adam’s family always gets together in Massachusetts (where our grandparents reside in the summer) for his grandfather’s birthday. We had a dinner planned for Friday evening with both of our families and grandparents as a fun birthday evening for his grandfather. We were meeting at Davio’s in the Boston Seaport for dinner, but our reservation was not ready when we arrived. To pass the time, we all stood by the water. Adam’s sister suggested we all take a picture, which is when Adam said he actually had something to say first. At that point, he took my hands in his and started to make the most beautiful and magical speech before getting down on one knee to propose. The best part?! Our grandparents had NO idea – they were just as surprised and over the moon as I was!
Adam designed the most stunning ring based on pictures he found on my Pinterest board, all of which featured pear-shaped rings with a diamond halo. The ring he designed is more beautiful than anything I could have ever saved on Pinterest. The pear diamond stone is surrounded by smaller diamonds, which are also on the band. To say that I am obsessed would be an understatement.
