We recently sat down to talk about luxury timepieces with Chad and David Schreibman, third generation owners of Alson Jewelers, and Jesse Schreibman, the fourth generation of the Schreibman family to join the family business. We talked about the latest watch trends, how to add to your collection, and watch movements. If you’re a watch enthusiast, this is the blog for you!
“One of the big trends we’re seeing in luxury watches for men and women is bold color. Colorful dials and straps have become very popular this year and I believe it will continue into 2021. Other trends include large watches for women, rectangular watches and rubber straps.”~Chad Schreibman
“For the watch enthusiast looking to add to their collection, make sure it’s something that really excites you, and most importantly, buy what you love. Watches are investments, and the “must-have” watch differs from person to person. If you’re not sure which timepiece to purchase, I would suggest exploring as many options as possible. Look for watches that have special attributes such as a unique dial or color. Choose a timepiece that you’re drawn to, not one that you think you should have for your collection. As you’re shopping, ask questions and collect as much information as you can about your purchase. Take pictures of the watch on your wrist. As you scroll through the photos, a front-runner will begin to emerge and you’ll find your next must-have timepiece!” ~David Schreibman
“One of the hottest brands right now is Tudor. Their watches are in a great price point with excellent craftsmanship. They feature in-house manufacture movements that not many brands can say they have with all of their watches. In addition, they’re durable, water resistant, and shockproof. They stand the test of time.” ~Jesse Schreibman
