We recently returned from our annual trip to Basel, Switzerland attending Baselworld, The World Watch and Jewelry Show. Considered the biggest watch event of the year, the world’s most exclusive watch brands present their new introductions. While there, we met with Rolex, Tudor, Breitling and TAG Heuer. We’re excited to share with you some of the new models that will be arriving soon at Alson Jewelers.
The changes to this model include a new size in the range with a 42 mm which is equipped with a new-generation calibre 3235, fashioned in 18K white gold, and fitted with a Oysterflex bracelet.
For the first time, the Sea-Dweller is offered in a yellow Rolesor version, introducing 18K yellow gold to the model.
Last year Rolex updated the red and blue “Pepsi” GMT-Master II, and this year the update is in the blue and black “Batman” model. Outfitted with the Jubilee bracelet and a new-generation 3285, this model is a knockout.
Rolex is introducing the new generation of its Oyster Perpetual Day‑Date 36, available in 18K yellow, white or Everose gold with distinctive new dials and gem-set bezels on some versions. We’re especially excited about the model introduced with the turquoise dial. This is the first time in more than 20 years Rolex has used turquoise on a dial.
The new Black Bay Bronze is outfitted with a 43mm aluminium-bronze case, Arabic hour-markers and a slate-grey dial. Like other models in the Black Bay line, this model features a dial inspired by the TUDOR divers’ watches produced in the 1950’s. It also adopts the characteristic angular hands known as “snowflake” that appeared in the brand’s 1969 catalogue. Finally, the unprotected winding crown, like the holes drilled across the horns, are typical features of the first generations of TUDOR divers’ watches.
The new Black Bay 41 steel & gold model retains the aesthetic features of the Black Bay line, while still connected to the reliability and history of the TUDOR divers’ watches. This year’s introduction showcases polished steel and yellow gold satin-brushed surfaces, which adds distinction as well as warmth to the case and bracelet.
This year, Breitling has introduced a new partnership with British motorcycle maker Norton. Their new watch introduction in partnership with Norton is the Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Norton Edition. The distinctive Norton logo is engraved on a plate on the left side of the case, and the transparent caseback features an inscription of the Norton motorcycle and logo. Powered by the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01, this COSC-certified chronometer is water-resistant to 10 bar (100 meters). The 42-mm stainless steel case features white subdials against the black dial, and subtle gold tones on applied Arabic numerals, as well as on the hour and minute hands.
The perfect timepiece for the diving enthusiast, the Superocean Automatic 46 features a sturdy 46-mm black steel (DLC-coated stainless steel) case, blue dial and a matching Diver Pro III rubber strap with pin buckle or folding clasp. Complete with ratcheted unidirectional bezel, and water-resistant up to an impressive 200 bar (2000 meters), it is the ultimate timepiece for deep-sea adventures.
The Breitling Navitimer 1 Automatic 41 gives a brand-new take on the Navitimer, combining its historic appeal with the refinement of a contemporary timepiece. The watch is fitted with Breitling’s famous circular slide rule, a distinctive beaded bezel, and a clean three-hand silver dial with date window at the 6 o’clock position. The hour markers, as well as the hour and minute hands, are coated with Super-LumiNova®, a luminescent material that ensures excellent legibility in all lighting conditions.. This Navitimer 1 Automatic 41 is available with a stainless steel Navitimer bracelet or a black alligator strap with either a pin or folding buckle.
TAG Heuer has reintroduced their Autavia model. The 42 mm watch has a vintage design with new technology on the inside. Inspired by the airplane cockpit, the Autavia dial features a SuperLuminova® luminous index to ensure its three hands are legible day and night, whatever the conditions.
