In Esperanto, the company name means "always in motion." This popular company first started in 1881 in a small workshop in La Chaux-de-faunds, Switzerland. In 1905, Movado became the company we know today- as a forerunner watch maker in aesthetic design and practicality. By 1910, they won the prestigious Grand Prix Exhibitions in Paris, Rome, Brussels and Rio de Janeiro for their introduction of 8 line wristwatch movements.
