As we kick off 2016, we’re looking ahead to the trends in jewelry for the year. Jewelry and fashion go hand in hand, so we took a look at the spring runways from New York, London, Paris and Milan. We saw dazzling jewelry ranging from long chains at Alexander Wang to statement earrings at Prada and Dolce & Gabbana.  Read on as we take a look at the trends we expect to see this year in jewelry.

Pantone Colors of the Year – Rose Quartz and Serenity

Rose Quartz and Serenity have been named the Colors of the Year for 2016 by Pantone, the world-renowned authority on color for a variety of industries. The PANTONE® name is known worldwide as the standard for color communication from designer to manufacturer and retailer to customer. This is the first time Pantone has named two shades as the Color of the Year.  We love these earrings by Spark that embody both colors featuring two pear-shaped Blue Moonstones and Pink Sapphires with Diamonds.

All Choked Up

Chokers are a very big look for spring.  We saw this look on the runways at Chanel, Balmain and Christian Dior.  Get in on this trend with this Princess Diamond Collar Necklace in 18K Yellow Gold and Diamonds by Roberto Coin.

Statement Earrings

Statement earrings are the biggest trend for this year. At the runway shows, models were seen in head-turning earrings that looked like disco balls.  Tassels were the look at Oscar de la Renta and shoulder-grazing earrings were seen at Gucci.  Embrace this trend with these John Hardy Dot Chandelier Earrings in Turquoise and Sterling Silver.

We’re seeing buckles on cuffs and bracelets this year creating a bold yet feminine look.  Adorn your wrist with this Roberto Coin Primavera Collection 18K Rose and White Gold Diamond Buckle Bracelet.

Binge on Fringe

Fringe is the hottest look in fashion right now.  We’re seeing fringe adorn handbags, shoes and clothing.  Why should jewelry be any different?  We’re loving this Legends Macan Pendant in 18K Gold with Orange Sapphires and Diamonds by John Hardy.
